Creating Colorful Dimensions (T.H.E.R.E.A.L.J.J.P.C.C.D.) is built on a foundation of deep roots, community legacy, faith, and decades of hands-on music industry experience.
Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Josalyn Jackson comes from a rich heritage of community leaders, spiritual pioneers, and artistic talent:
One of Rochester’s very first African-American female pastors, who founded her own church and was deeply cherished across the city.
An evangelist, choir director, and skilled organist who passed down a rich musical foundation.
A highly respected carpenter, business mind, and community leader who empowered men across Rochester by hiring them, teaching them trades like carpentry and painting, and dedicating his apartment building and workshop to serve the East Side community.
Guided by a family steeped in faith, trade skills, and community uplift, Josalyn’s love for music sparked at just six years old, writing her very first rhymes inspired by Bobby Brown’s “My Prerogative.” From singing in Catholic school and her grandmother’s church choir to acting in school plays, Josalyn quickly realized where her true passion lived: not under the spotlight, but behind the scenes.

Most creative careers stall in one of two places. The work is good but indistinguishable — one more voice in a feed of good voices. Or the work is distinctive and the structure around it is invisible: no releases in order, no language for what you do, no one to call. Josalyn works on both, because a career is not one dimension.
That is the shape of the practice. Beat curation fixes what an artist is building on. Hook writing fixes the three seconds that decide whether anybody hears the rest. Creative consulting fixes the career around the music — identity, positioning, release order and the plain business of being findable and bookable.
And then there is the room: Raw & Uncut, the retreat sessions and boot camps built for artists who do not have a local support system. Community, craft, and a long-term plan, with people who keep checking on the work afterward.
“Creating colorful dimensions across sound and business” is not a slogan. It is the working method: find the flat version of what you are doing, and give it depth.
How she works
Nobody blends in by accident. They blend in because no one ever made them choose a color, a sound or a sentence and stand behind it. Choosing is the work.
A rollout cannot save a record that says nothing. We fix the work first — beats, hooks, the reason a listener should care — and then build the business around it.
Most independent creators are not missing talent or effort. They are missing people who will tell them the truth and then keep showing up. Raw & Uncut exists to be that room.
The palette the work is built in
If you are a creator and something about your work or your business is not moving, say so plainly. Bookings and payment arrangements are handled directly with Josalyn — by phone or by message.
